NOTICE: Read and follow these simple rules to make leadership easy.

  1. If you haven't done so already, download and follow the directions in your Jurisdictionary Leaders Application. Once completed, fax your application to us Toll Free: 866-446-5112. Your club is not active until your application is approved. We will contact you by phone to notify you when your leaders application is approved.
  2. Use the Membership Application to sign up new members and be certain they register on-line so you have access to their data on-line. Once your charter is approved, you'll have access to your club members' data by logging-in with your email and password. If you have any questions about this, call Toll Free: 866-Law-Easy
  3. Follow the Recommended Meetings Agenda. This is designed to make your club meetings more interesting, more empowering, and more fun for members and attendees. We want people to enjoy the meetings and come back with their friends.
  4. Read the Letter to Club Officers carefully and make certain your other officers also read and understand what we explain about creating and maintaining an effective local organization that will grow and do much good for your community.
  5. Don't just follow the Rules of Order. Teach them. Explain the rules and how they insure that everyone has a voice, just like in court. Print out this simple outline. Make copies and distribute to every member. Make learning the rules part of every club meeting.
  6. Use our suggested Public Service Announcement to promote your club through daily newspapers, weekly advertisers, and local radio stations. All these media are required in many states to publish the place and times for meetings of non-profit groups like your club. Don't be shy. Promote your club's meetings and activities!
  7. Make club meetings FUN as well as educational and empowering. People will come back and bring their friends if they have a GOOD TIME at your meetings. Get everyone involved. Ask questions.
  8. Don't let anyone gobble up meeting time talking about "their case". It isn't fair to the others and it could make it appear we are giving legal advice. We don't give legal advice. We provide public legal education. So long as we don't talk about "their case", we aren't giving legal advice. Be strict about this.
  9. Don't take sides when people want to complain about the law as it is (IRS, drivers licenses, etc.). We don't take sides. We teach people how to use the courts to fix what they believe is wrong. We need to be careful not to take sides on divisive issues.
  10. Within 3 days after every meeting, file a Meeting Report using our on-line form. Failure to fax meeting reports will result in your club being de-activated.
  11. Anytime you feel uncertain or have questions, call us weekdays from 9-5. Toll Free: 866-Law-Easy.
